AML invests Rs.15Bn for the new airport
During the past 14 years, Airports of Mauritius Limited (AML) has invested more than Rs 15.Bn in the construction and renovation of the airport, says Le Défi Quotidien. The Mauritian government has contributed Rs. 1Bn in the construction of the new airport terminal in 2008.
An additional Rs.300m will be used for the construction of a new area for cargo and a Freeport zone. AML has also registered an increase in 2% in its turnover during the first half of 2013 in spite of the difficult economic conditions.
Revenues amounted to Rs.876m as compared to Rs.857m for last year.
