BAI administrator assures Apollo Bramwell employees of fair treatment
The administrator of 32 companies of the BAI Group, Grant Thornton Mauritius CEO Sattar Hajee Abdoula, is actively engaged in meeting the employees of companies falling under his administration, which will continue over several days.
BAI administrator Sattar Hajee Abdoula contacted the 200 employees and doctors of Apollo Bramwell on 16 April 2015 where he explained the situation of the establishment as well as its responsibilities towards various stakeholders.
A doctor at Apollo Bramwell highlighted in the meeting that the administrator took pains to explain in detail all legal and financial terms, which are bound to the management of the hospital.
“The administrator disseminated supporting figures, clarified the doubts engendered these last few days, and reassured employees. We note his intent to protect the dignity of the hospital and the staff. He explained that he needs to save our establishment, and we are determined to help him in this task.”
Grant Thornton Mauritius CEO Sattar Hajee Abdoula was nominated as administrator of 32 companies of the BAI Group on the 13 April 2015 under the framework of the Insolvency Act. Since then, he has been actively engaged in meeting the employees of companies falling under his administration, in a series of meetings which will continue over several days.
The 22nd and 23rd of April will witness creditors of the 32 companies under his administration being given the opportunity to endorse the appointment of the administrator upon a series of meetings as per the process of law.
It is also to be noted that 6 other boards of directors have nominated Sattar Hajee Abdoula as administrator. These are Courts (Indian Ocean) Limited, Fleetmaster Co. Ltd, G.R.N.W Boat Yard Ltd, Maryvale Ltd, Tucson Ltd and BAI Medical Centres Ltd.
