Blast Communications wins Gold SABRE Award for Kass Konté Ebola campaign
Mauritius PR agency Blast Communications has bagged the Gold SABRE Award for itsKass Konté Ebola campaign, with the win being a first for any communication agency in Mauritius and allowing Blast to make a mark vis-a-vis communication agencies in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.(Image: Company)
Mauritian PR agency Blast Communications was honoured with the Goal SABRE Award, which is one of the most prestigious international awards in the field of communications, at an award ceremony held in London on Tuesday, 19 May 2015.
This award is a first for any communication agency in Mauritius, and serves tohighlight the remarkable work done by the PR major during the “Kass Konté Ebola” campaign, led alongside The Jupiter Drawing Room Mauritius for ABAX Services.
Blast Communications, which started 11 years ago, has been going from strength to strength since, stated Lekha Seebaluck, Managing Director of the agency.
“All the projects which we bring to a successful conclusion are the fruit of the efforts of our team. Within this team, we are all treated at par: we work with the same passion and the same tirelessness. This teamwork and team spirit allow us to compete with the biggest communication agencies across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. We are now in the big league, and we dedicate this award to the whole team,”she noted.
Paul Holmes, who is the CEO of Holmes Group and author of the Holmes Report as well as an International Public Relations analyst,also happens to be a creator of the SABRE Awards.
He underlined that the agency truly merited this award, noting that as many as 2000 submissions were received for this award in the current year, which is the higher ever received, and only the best were selected.
“At the final stage, only the most creative and the most effective projects were rewarded,”he concluded.

SABRE (Superior Achievement in Branding and reputation) Awards are organised by the Holmes Group. Around 2000 companies participated this year in the SABRE Awards, which are a recognised authority in the world of public relations, and their campaigns were evaluated by a jury panel of more than 40 leaders of the industry coming from different corners of the globe
