CIEL Textile intends to open a new unit of Tropic Knits in India by next year

Harold Mayer, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of CIEL Textile, annnounced during the celebration of ‘CIEL Chairman’s Award for Manufacturing Excellence’ last week in Bangalore, India, that CIEL Textile intends to open a new unit of Tropic Knits in India.
According to the Harold Mayer, CIEL textile units is actually performing very well and in this line they are actually studying the possibility of expanding to India in 2015.
“This choice of expanding to India confirms our strategy of internationalization and our ambitions for the Asian market,” said Harold Mayer.
Furthermore, “this country is renowned for the quality of its human resources and this has clearly been evidenced with the sense of the professionalism which has been showed by the Bangalore team during the organization of the CIEL Chairman’s Award,” he said.
For the company, holding this award ceremony in India is not only a first but also historic and symbolic at the same time.
The ‘Manufacturing Excellence Award’ the main title of this ceremony award was awarded to the Mauritian based company Aquarelle in the presence of the Chairman of CIEL Limited Arnaud Dalais; Chief Executive Officer of CIEL Textile, Harold Mayer; Director of Product Development & Sourcing of South Asia at Levi Strauss & Co, Neetu Jotwani and several other representatives of the CIEL production unit.
Senior Factory Manager of Aquarelle, Zoul Juddoo said that he is very proud of this winning family of CIEL textile.
“It is our second recognition in three years. This award comes to confirm our ambition to always strive to provide the best product and service to our customer while positioning us as the best supplier in our domain,” he said.
