The Doritos ‘Win your Ultimate Birthday Party!’ campaign was launched in Mauritius on Wednesday, October 22, 2014, following the resounding success of last year’s national campaign on the theme ‘Doritos, The Ultimate Party Snack bar’.
Through this new campaign, the famous tortillas brand wants to thank its fans by allowing them to realize their dream birthday, within the limits of a maximum expenditure of Rs 50,000.
Thomas Ulcoq, Brand Coordinator for Doritos at Grays Inc., noted that Mauritians have until November 22, 2014 to participate in the competition.
All the participants of the competition, named ‘Ultimate BDay’ on Facebook, are invited between October 22 and November 22, 2014 to come on the page of Doritos Mauritius (http://www.facebook.com/Doritos.Mauritius) after buying a pack of Doritos, and launch the application by clicking on the ‘post’ announcing the game, or visit the ‘Ultimate Bday’ tab.
Next, to participate in the contest, they must like the page, and then go ahead and enter the expiration date and time printed on their Doritos package as well as their date of birth and their email address. They will subsequently obtain a unique number via a confirmation email of participation.
Thomas Ulcoq added that, once the winners are known, they shall be invited to elaborate on their birthday plans. The chosen activity for the birthday can consist of an air ticket to Rodrigues, tickets to attend concerts, or even a helicopter tour.
Thomas Ulcoq explained that the winners are free to choose the birthday party of their dream costing upto Rs 50,000, and it can be realised as long as rules of participation are respected.
In addition, the five winners will be provided with an event management agency to organise the birthday party.
This competition is open to all Mauritians and people living in Mauritius who have a Facebook account.
On November 22, a draw will find out the names of the five winners of this competition.
The winners will be contacted by email and will have a timeline of six months to request their prize.
To claim their prize, the winners will have to provide their winning Doritos package as well as their birth certificate, together with a written agreement by their legal representative if they are minors.
