Lux Belle Mare chosen for 2nd edition of Destination Wedding Planners Congress

After the Grand Resort Lagonissi at Athens, Greece in 2014, the second edition of the annual Destinations Wedding Planners (DWP) Congress will be hosted at the Lux Belle Mare in Mauritius over a two-day session held on the 14th and 15th of April 2015 with the official host partner being the Mauritius Tourism Promotion Authority.
The Congress will comprise attendees from around the world, with speakers coming from approximately 40 different locations including China, India, UK, Japan, UAE, USA, Russia, Canada, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, The Netherlands, Lebanon, Israel, Norway, Russia, Singapore, Spain, Switzerland, Saudi Arabia, Australia, Brazil and many more.
Destination weddings are becoming increasingly popular nowadays with research on the wedding industry compiled by Ellen Terrell stating that “one in ten weddings is a destination wedding — a massive increase over the last decade.” Another study by SRC for About.com indicates that “the destination wedding accounts for USD 16 billion in annual spending.”
