Café Lux has unveiled its first outlet at Trianon Shopping Park with the official inauguration being done on 11 May 2015 in the presence of LUX* Island Resorts’ CEO Paul Jones, as well as Bernard Wan, the director of Café Lux Ltd.
The cafe is a trendy place to enjoy a coffee break with friends, and it is also the perfect place to have a quick bite before shopping, or working out of office by taking advantage of the WIFI connection.
It is the first coffee shop by LUX*, which is opening its doors outside the premises of LUX* Island Resorts for the first time. The plush cafe shows a pleasing emphasis on local products, in particular LUX* resorts own delicious “Island Blend.”
This project was successfully realised basis an agreement between the hotel chain and Café Lux Ltd, which expressed its wish to operate a franchise for Café Lux.
Paul Jones on his part, noted,”I am delighted to set up the first such brand in Mauritius, to satisfy coffee lovers.”
“I am confident that with top-quality products and outstanding service, Cafe Lux is going to extend its footprint across the island,” he added.
For his part, Bernard Wan stated, “We think that it is the chance of a lifetime for the public to discover the Island Blend range. The Mauritians will have access to vintage coffees that that are available in popular coffee shops in Europe, complemented with top quality service leveraging on precision, speed and teamwork.”
Sharon Belombre, a ‘barista’ (Italian for bartender) at Café Lux said, “As baristas, we have a mission, we are the last link of a long production line which begins with the seed sowed by the coffee producer, processed to perfection by the roaster, and served by us, with passion. What also makes the difference in Café Lux is the customer experience. I always wanted to work in a cafe because I like the atmosphere and the contact with people.”
To bring customers a quality coffee, renowned organic coffee beans stemming from three mixtures of coffees – Arabica from Brazil (45%), Ethiopia (10%) and Guatemala (45%) – are imported, and the Island Blend is characterised by its exotic flavour and the subtle aroma of a freshly roasted coffee.
Finally, it is to be noted that the newly launched cafe is open everyday from 10 am to 8 pm, Monday till Thursday, while on Fridays and Saturdays, its closing time is extended to 9 pm, and on Sundays and public holidays, the cafe closes early, by 3 pm.
