Mauritius aviation: Condor awards Harel Mallac; direct Russia fights by Oct-end

Mauritius aviation major Harel Mallac Aviation Ltd, which represents German airlines Condor in Mauritius since 1992, has been rewarded ‘Best upgrade performance long-haul’ during the Operational Excellence Awards 2014 held in Frankfurt, Germany on October 02, 2014.
This annual ceremony which was held in the presence of the Operation Director of Condor, Christian Schmitt, served as an occasion to reward the different winners for their exceptional performance, where the prize for Mauritius was handed to the Station Manager of Condor in Mauritius, Cassim Hansrod.
This prize rewards the best sales performance in terms of upgrades made in airports on long haul flights, and the Mauritius-based company has expressed its sense of pride on this recognition of its excellent work.
“Our team was not only the most successful by far, but our employees are also trained with the best sales techniques, so that passengers can benefit from the latest offers and the best deals,” said Cassim Hansrod.
For his part, André Nairac, General Director of Harel Mallac Aviation, noted that the recognition offered by Condor only serves to confirm the deep relationship of trust and excellence established over the 20 years between the German player and Harel Mallac.
“The service which we offer to the travelers at the airport allows our customers to take full advantage of an even more pleasant and restful flight,” he added.
Furthermore, Harel Mallac management announced that the number of passengers using Condor flights is steadily increasing year by year, and Mauritian travelers are increasingly beginning to trust the high quality services offered by German aviation to travel to Europe.

The roadshow was held across Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) in Moscow, Novosibirsk and Kazakstan, from 19 to 25 September.
The roadshow featured stakeholders from the Mauritian tourism industry with three events being carried out in different cities. The trio of events started with a reception for key partners in Moscow. Next up were two workshops, which were held in emerging markets with high travel potential, like Novosibirsk, which is the third most populated city in Russia, and Almaty, the economical centre of Kazakhstan with a high footfall of the upmarket, target audience.
Both Russia and CIS countries remain high potential markets for Mauritius. According to the MTPA, it is important to ensure continued high visibility for Mauritius and promote the island paradise as an attractive travel destination, through a suitable combination of intensive trade and consumer PR & marketing tools.
