Mauritius Commercial Bank (MCB) Consulting Services concluded a strategic partnership with Temenos, a world leader in banking software, to offer its services to existing and future customers of Temenos in 21 countries of Africa and Asia.
The 21 countries includes all countries where the MCB is present, as well as some other countries with great growth potential, such as South Africa, Ethiopia and Democratic Republic of the Congo.
Through their strategic partnership, MCB Consulting Services and Temenos want to penetrate two of the most dynamic markets the world: Africa and Asia.
For Jean-Michel Félix, Chief Executive Officer of MCB Consulting Services, the Temenos partnership offers new opportunities and that in very promising markets, “our field experience and our expertise of banker give us a competitive advantage.”
“We are capable of meeting the needs of the customers and furthermore accompany them from the beginning to the end of their project while making them benefit from our experience and expertise,” he said.
According to the MCB press release MCB Consulting Services is the first partner of Temenos to have a robust experience in the banking and financial domains.
It can further be read that considering the relatively low banking penetration especially in Africa and the strong anticipated growth of the banking sector on these continents, the potential is somehow very huge.
With the financial liberalization and the introduction of several regulations, this has contributed to create opportunities in the banking and financial activities in these emerging markets.
Finally, the agreement between both parties concerns a wide range of Temenos products related to the core banking system and Insight in the analysis, migrations, updates and implementation field.
