Mauritius to host international communication experts from 28-30 May
These professionals, speakers and delegates will attempt for the first time to develop a consistent communication initiative for the continent under ‘Campaign Africa’.
The 26th edition of the All Africa Public Relations Association (APRA) conference will take place in Mauritius on May 28-30, 2014 at Le Meridien hotel in Pointe-aux-Piments under the theme ‘Advancing Africa’.
Though this conference, the participating delegates will get the opportunity to define a cohesive communication campaign for Africa.
Registration for the conference will be done on a first-come, first-serve basis and the event will be open to Mauritian participants.
Delegates and speakers from all over Africa, Europe, Asia and North America will attend the conference where diverse topics – such as PR & Ethics, Reputation Management: Critical to Success, Crisis & Security Communication, PR Consulting in Africa: Shifting Gear, Digital Media: The Undisputable Future of Public Relations, Emerging Trends in Corporate Social Responsibility, The 10 Global Trends in PR, Driving Sponsorship: A Case Study of Football Sponsorship in Africa; and Managing Government Communication in Africa: Challenges & Opportunities – will be discussed.

It is to be noted that the African Union Commission (AUC) has been working closely with APRA since the staging of the APRA Summit held at the New Hall, African Union Headquarters, Addis Ababa in 2013 as part of the AU at 50 activities.
The Summit of Heads of Government of the African Union will be forwarded the outcome of the two-day conference’s deliberations for approval.
