Social networks: Mike Saunders reveals the new trends for corporate organisations

It has been several years since the social networks are inescapable major element on the Internet. Since then, they also conquered the professional space by becoming one of the essential tools to increase the visibility of companies on the Web.
More than a simple pastime, the social networks brought a new dimension to the corporate world whether it is in terms of marketing, developing new markets or new audiences but also in terms of management and strategy, because it is undoubtedly necessary to matter with these new platforms.
The Mauritius Institute of Directors (MIoD) has invited on February 18, 2015, Mike Saunders, Chief Executive Officer of DigitLab, one of the main companies of digital marketing in South Africa, to speak on the latest trends and tendencies regarding social networks at Labourdonnais Hotel, Port Louis.
This workshop has allowed the participants to enhance their ability to learn how to set up a practical guide to manage better presence and visibility on social networks.

Facilitator and speaker of the day, Mike Saunders, has also underlined the scale that the social networks in the world of the work sets.
“The social networks move closer to people. If the brand and the organisations can understand this dynamics, they can get closer to their customers and so improve their understanding and especially their relation with them,” declared Mike Saunders, who is among the Top 20 South Africans to follow on Twitter.
Finally, the CEO of MIoD, Jane Valls, has put forward the advantages of the training especially regarding social networks.
“The social networks are important tools, but to develop the base of your strategy is the first thing to do, just like to choose what will be the communication channels as well as to develop a social media crisis plan,” she concluded.
