Sun Resorts goes for energy audit

Sun Resorts goes for energy audit

A report filed by Hotelier Middle East says that Sun Resorts Ltd will go for an energy audit. The hotel group has hired the Energy Efficiency Group, from Lebanon, to conduct energy audits at the group’s six hotels in Mauritius and the Maldives. EEG will also audit the group’s central laundry in Mauritius as part of the process. EEG will build group-wide energy and sustainability dashboards to engage employees and will advise individual properties on efficiency measures.

Energy Efficiency Group managing director Ronald Diab said: “We are delighted to be working with Sun Resorts Ltd. By undertaking energy audits across the whole group, we will be able to maximise energy efficiencies company-wide whilst instigating a new top to bottom employee engagement towards full sustainability.”

“This will not only result in significant cost savings for the group, it will also help the environment by reducing energy usage and related emissions. We look forward to working with each property’s team and the management in order to complete the projects and help the group move towards its higher sustainability goals,” he added.
