Tanzania plans first geothermal power plant

Tanzania is on the verge of drilling its very first geothermal power plant next year as well as expanding its renewable energy in an attempt to curb on power deficit reports Reuters. According to the article, the energy deficit from Tanzania is viewed by the International Monetary Fund “as an obstacle to the growth of east Africa’s second biggest economy.”
